August Browne: Was the only African in the Polish resistance

August Browne has been favoured by international history for being the only black Patriot that Poland celebrates for serving in the World War Two for the resistance movement

The Nigeria born Jazz musician August Agboola Browne, at early forty joined the Poland struggle against Nazi in 1939 after staying in the country for seventeen years,
He fought for the lives of his current neighbors when the German invaded Poland, he was the only black bold enough to offer this heroic sacrifice, it was recorded he fought under a code name ALI.

Being 77 years now, his name remains alive, Though 94% of the citizen of Poland capital perished but August survived

A Piller was erected as a monument for him from a scant details that may have never been known if not for the application he made to join a veterans' association in 1949.
